ALM User's Guide

You can register users in the system manually, or by sending them messages via e-mail. Each user has unique attributes - login and e-mail address.

System supports mixed identification, i.e., you can use Devprom ALM accounts and LDAP catalog accounts simultaneously. A Devprom ALM account must have a password which is not stored in the database. If the password is lost, you can only reset it.

Some users can be administrators. To grant administrator privileges to a user, use the corresponding option in the user card. Administrators:

• have access to the administrative section;
• receive notifications about problems with application setup, as well as presence of the updates that are ready for installation.

Administrative access is not related with access to projects and their data. To get access to the project, you must explicitly add a user to the project using a specified role. To do this, use the context menu on the row with user name, item "Include into project".

User account blocking is used to restrict access to the application, however it does not allow to save information about participants, completed tasks, and prepared project artifacts.
