Creation of test scenarios

Test scenarios contain conditions for verification. For different testing types, a test scenario can be formed in different ways. For example, it’s convenient to use a form with the list of stages, required actions and expected result for functional testing. By means of test scenario templates, you can use the format that is necessary specifically for this testing type. Add your own templates or enhance the ones provided by default.

You can set Importance, Workloads and other custom attributes for each test scenario. Tags allow to implement custom classification in a convenient way, and use it for filtering scenarios. Relationships (traces) allow to fix causal relationships to answer the following questions: where and why appeared this scenario?

Test scenarios can be created during the modification of test plans (test documents), or exist independently.

Import test scenarios from Excel. First, export a scenario to display the required file format, and review its format. Create a test scenario using "By steps" template, and export it in the registry. Similarly, fill data in the table, and import data from Excel.

Our standard processes are set up in such a way that system offers to create test scenarios on the corresponding stages of requirement or enhancement lifecycle. Thus, test documentation development is embedded into the technological process of requirement implementation. Meanwhile, system creates all required relationships automatically, and you can always edit them later.
